The Meraki 200-hour yoga teacher training will focus on the Vinyasa style, yoga that links movement with breath to attain balance in the mind and body. The course will focus strongly on anatomy and functional movement, self-discovery, and self-inquiry through journaling, meditation, and mindfulness. Students will explore the philosophy and history of yoga as well as delve into the basics of Ayurveda.
Students will learn how to creatively and safely sequence classes, and spend plenty of time teaching and practicing throughout the training, by the end of the course students will be able to lead a class confidently and safely.

Students who are interested in participating in this teacher training program should bear in mind that this will be a physically demanding program and will require strong commitment and dedication. Interested students must:

• Have a deep desire to learn and personally explore the deeper dimensions of yoga.
• Have a minimum of one-year regular yoga practice.
• Be free from any major injuries going into the program.
• Be fully committed and understand that 100% attendance is required for certification.

Due to the current health crisis, all teacher training has been moved online.

The part-time training will run over a 5-month period to accommodate those who work fulltime.

Students will need to attend three weekly classes Monday - Wednesday at 17h30 - 18h30 via Zoom and online training days the first Saturday of each month.

Additionally, there will be:

  • recorded content

  • one-on-one yoga sessions

  • worksheets, homework and teaching practicals

If lockdown restrictions allow, in-person training will be available in Nelspruit, however, this is not mandatory for the online training.

Space is limited to 8 students to ensure that everyone is able to receive individual attention through the online program.


This course is internationally recognized and accredited by the Yoga Alliance.
